Billy Crawford calls Gary V his ‘idol’

Singer-actor Billy Crawford says it’s because of Gary Valenciano, his fellow judge in the reality talent search “World of Dance Philippines,” that he is still in show business now.

“Kuya Gary knows this,” Billy tells the Inquirer. “I remember being 4 and a half years old and being at Music Museum at the time. I saw him wearing baggy pants and sporting an Afro hairdo. That was the moment I realized that I wanted to be like him.”

Billy adds: “Through Kuya Gary, and because of his influences—Michael Jackson, James Brown, Elvis Presley and all those great performers—I learned to love singing and dancing. He is really my idol.” —MARINEL R. CRUZ
