The actress and “It’s Showtime” host announced last August that she would sponsor a wedding as a wish-granting project under her foundation Dream Machine. One of the conditions was that the couple had to be together for more than 10 years.

Out of thousands of submissions, Marlon and Marlyn Bandelaria were selected after they were nominated by their daughter Maryfe Bandelaria Raviz, Dream Machine announced last Wednesday, March 20.

Last January, the family flew to Manila to meet Curtis and to make preparations for the wedding, as per Maryfe’s Facebook posts.

The couple got their first wedding rings from ring specialists Happy Proposals, who revealed in an Instagram post that the two had been together for 25 years already.

Marlyn and Marlon had their first prenup shoot at Museo de Padilla in Quezon City, where the future groom wore a suit and the bride-to-be stunned in a red floral dress and pearls.

The family also enjoyed a visit to the variety show “It’s Showtime” where they were audience members.

After months of planning, the couple had a breathtaking church wedding and an outdoor reception yesterday, March 23.

Nanay Marlyn was treated to a detailed Michael Leyva creation and had her hair and makeup done by celebrity stylists Raymond Santiago and Robbie Piñera.

The groom wore a bespoke suit from Suit It Up Manila, which also dressed Curtis’ husband Erwan Heussaff during their wedding day.

The reception overlooked Misibis Bay, with clear skies giving way to a fireworks display at night while the couple slow-danced.

Besides helping with the wedding, Curtis performed “A Million Dreams” from the movie “The Greatest Showman” for the newlyweds.

Congratulations to the happy couple! JB
