Ara Mina marked her return to culinary school recently with a fervent passion to further improve herself in the culinary arts.

Mina took to social media in which she shared a picture of her back in the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management on March 19. Her return to ISCAHM comes after six years; she first attended the school to study fundamentals in culinary arts and pastry arts in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

Mina shared a quote that seemed to sum up her mindset, as it read: “There are five important things for living a successful and happy life: Never stop dreaming, never stop believing, never give up, never stop trying and never stop learning.”

“Had a meeting earlier with Chef Nobert Gandler, Chef Gerd Menge, Chef Joey Herrera, Chef Bubbles Lerias and Chef Ernie Babaran (not in the pic, my teacher in pastry class before),” she said via Instagram.

Mina also shared that she returned so she could improve her skills further.

“Yes! I’m back in @ISCAHM after 6 years to enhance and polish my skills even better on baking cakes and cooking dishes,” she said.

Mina currently owns Hazelberry Cafe, with branches in Quezon City, Alabang and Pasig. She often shares photos of her delectable creations on social media, such as her red velvet Oreo cheesecake, her mini-cheesecakes in a jar, fudge brownies and mixed berries shortcake, among others.

She also completed barista training in 2017, as per her post in January.

Mina started baking when she was 14 years old, as shared on her Instagram in January, and the first pastry she ever baked was the coconut macaroon.

She stopped, however, when she became an actress and only rediscovered her love for baking in 2012. Now that she’s back, it seems nothing is beyond chef Ara’s grasp.  /ra
