Why Kaye Abad prefers living in Cebu

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Kaye Abad shared on Tuesday all the good reasons why she prefers living in Cebu than in Manila.

“Lagi nila akong tinatanong, kung tutuusin, mas gusto ko doon. Kasi very laid back (They are always asking me. I like it there because it’s very laid back),” Abad said during the press conference of her upcoming drama “Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit.”

Abad moved to Cebu after she tied the knot with husband and former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Paul Jake Castillo in 2016.

“It’s a combination of province and city life. Na kung gusto mo mag-beach, ng farm, ang lapit lang lahat. Kung gusto mo ng city, nandoon na rin naman ang mga mall. Nandun naman na lahat so mas relaxed ako doon,” Abad added.

(It’s a combination of province and city life. If you want to go to the beach or the farm, it’s near. If you want city life, there’s also a mall. Everything is there, and I feel more relaxed.)

Abad said it seems like everything she has dreamed of has already happened.

“As in, nagpapasalamat ako kay Lord na parang natupad lahat ng pinagarap ko. Magkapamilya, magkaanak, maging housewife, lahat. Sabi ko nga, natatakot ako kasi parang sobrang binigay niya talaga lahat. Wala naman sanang kapalit” she said.

(I am thankful that the Lord has made my dreams come true — to get married, have a family and a child, to be a housewife, everything. But I also fear that I got everything.)

Abad and Castillo welcomed their firstborn Pio in 2017, on the latter’s birthday.

After being away from show business, the 36-year-old actress is finally coming back to television this March 25 via “Nang Ngumiti Nang Langit.”

Her last television drama was in 2014 with “Two Wives,” which also starred Jason Abalos and Erich Gonzales. /ee
