Gird your loins for some fabulous theater action because “The Devil Wears Prada” is eyeing a musical run on Broadway.

The 2005 hit movie will be delivered to the stage by veteran director and producer Anna D. Shapiro, who led the Tony Award-winning Steppenwolf Theatre production of “August: Osage County”, reported Deadline.

Shapiro has also directed Broadway revivals of “Of Mice and Men” and “This Is Our Youth”.

The upcoming production will feature music by none other than  Sir Elton John, lyrics by Shaina Taub and book by Paul Rudnick. It will be produced by Kevin McCollum of Fox Stage Productions.

“The Devil Wears Prada” was based on The New York Times bestseller book of the same name by Lauren Weisberger.

The book tells the story of Northwestern University fresh grad Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) as she cluelessly navigates the fashion world under the aloof Runway editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).

Weisberger based the story on her own experiences as assistant to the editor-in-chief of the American Vogue editor Anna Wintour, known for her icy personality.

The film adaptation received various nominations and accolades which includes an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination to Meryl Streep who played Priestly. Chelsey Mei Nadine Brazal/JB
