MANILA, Philippines – News of the Morrissey concert, scheduled on May 13 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, has reportedly generated a lot of buzz
immediately after it broke online a few days ago.

The concert’s promoter, Charlemagne Lim, has announced that VIP tickets will be available next week for pickup at the following branches of Little Asia restaurant: Tomas Morato Ave., Quezon City; Promenade, Greenhills; and Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill, Taguig.

There are only two ticket sections at the concert – VIP (reserved seats), priced at P5,799, and Titanium (first come, first served seats) at P3,710.

Only Titanium section tickets will be available at Ticketworld (891-9999), Lim said.

Morrissey is famous worldwide as the former singer and lyricist of The Smiths, critically acclaimed as one of the most important alternative rock bands to emerge from the British independent music scene of the 1980s.

He successfully pursued a solo career after The Smiths’ breakup in 1987, releasing albums as recent as 2009.

Lim said fans would be treated to an all-hits repertoire both from The Smiths discography and Morrissey’s solo material.
