Zia Quizon has had enough of the sour words she received about her boyfriend Robin Nievera’s looks. At one point,  it even prompted her to speak up about a mental disorder she is suffering from.

The singer and daughter of Zsa Zsa Padilla and the late Dolphy got candid, revealing she suffers from body dysmorphic disorder. This was seen on her Instagram post Monday.

Quizon, who quoted the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), explained her condition as “a body-image disorder characterized by persistent and intrusive preoccupations with an imagined or slight defect in one’s appearance.”

“I wake up everyday feeling like I am the ugliest person on the face of the earth,” she said about her condition. “So it helps me to focus on the fact that, ultimately, looks are not so important.”

Because of her condition, she expressed how hurt she was over the messages she got over a photo of Nievera she previously shared.

Like Quizon, Nievera comes from a family known in the entertainment industry. He is the eldest son of singers Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez.

“Here is where I post a picture of my beloved and all some people can comment on is how they dislike his physical appearance,” Quizon said about the words she received, although not naming who they came from.  “The painful part is not when it comes from strangers, but people in your life.”

Although one can simply ignore the comments, Quizon said this she could not do because the words “sincerely f***s with me.”

“I am not telling you to stop coming to Instagram for the primary purpose of judging others, if that is the joy you get from it,” the singer urged. “Follow your joy, man. Go right ahead. Just please… keep me out of it.”  /ra
