The ageless Dawn Zulueta hit the big 5-0 sans any lament about old age. The actress, who marked her birthday on March 4, took to social media to declare that she has come to a decision: she is not old.

“I have decided that I’m not old,” Zulueta declared via Instagram on March 5. “I’m 50 plus shipping and handling.”

On the day of her birthday, Zulueta shared with her fans a throwback picture of her when she was a toddler.

“4 March 1969,” she said.

Meanwhile, days before her 50th, Zulueta shared another throwback picture, this time from 1991. Zulueta looked glamorous and regal in the black-and-white picture, taken during a stint on “RSVP.”

“1991: Time warped,” she said. “[Behind the scenes] of my hosting stint in the musical variety show called ‘RSVP.’”

Many celebrities and notable figures reached out to Zulueta to greet her on her birthday, such as veteran actress Coney Reyes, actress-beauty queen Charlene Gonzalez, Shalani Soledad, singer-actor Janno Gibbs and Pokwang’s husband, American actor Lee O’Brian.

“Happy Birthday @dawnzulueta!!” wrote Gonzalez. “You are gorgeous as ever!! Beautiful inside and out!!”

“Happy Birthday, dear Dawn!” said Reyes. “God bless you in every way! Stay well and happy!”

O’Brian noted that Zulueta’s sense of humor complements her beauty.

“The sense of humor compliments that beauty!” he said. “Much love to you and the fam, Dawn!”

Zulueta also received a birthday greeting from former senator Bongbong Marcos and his family.

The card from the Marcos’ family read: “We may not be by your side on your special day but we want you to know that we’re thinking of you and wishing you a wonderful birthday!”

Zulueta, when she was 48 back in 2017, expressed her concern about aging, saying the roles being offered to her started to become more limited. She shared how women her age usually get the mother-whose-child-is-missing role and admitted, then, that she had not been excited over a role for some time.

I really enjoy discovering comedy, because it’s a genre that I don’t typically get to do,” she said then. “All my ideas about comedy are all in my head, because I have never gotten the opportunity— I was never offered sitcoms or anything of the sort.”
