MANILA, Philippines — Streaming giant Netflix has unveiled sneak peek photos of the second season of its first original Korean drama series “Kingdom.”

“In case you were wondering… we heard you loud and clear. Enjoy this first look at Kingdom Season 2,” Netflix teased fans through a Facebook post on Monday.

One photo shows the crown prince Lee Chang drawing his sword, while another photo shows a group of zombies awake despite the sun shining on them.

Set in Korea’s Joseon period, “Kingdom” tells the story of a strange plague sweeping throughout the country, causing the king and dozens of others to rise from their graves.

The eight-episode series follows the crown prince’s attempt to stop the outbreak and save his people.

“Kingdom,” which premiered in January 2019, was directed by Kim Seong-hun and written by Kim Eun-hee. It stars Ju Ji-hoon, Bae Doo-na and Yu Seung-ryong.

The filming of the second season started last month, but the release date has yet to be announced. /cbb
