Recently, I cornered PJ Abellana and asked, “What if your daughter Carla and Tom (Rodriguez, her boyfriend) decide to get married already?” He replied, “I won’t be surprised if that happens because their relationship is the kind that usually ends up in marriage. Besides, they are way past marrying age.”
I asked PJ what he thought of Tom. “I like his personality, and he radiates good vibes,” he pointed out. “I hope he will always find ways to make Carla realize that he’s the right guy she has been wishing for.” Seems like PJ is already rehearsing his speech as father of the bride-to-be.
I also asked Gabby Concepcion what his reaction would be if or when his daughter KC and her French boyfriend, Pierre-Emmanuel Plassart, decide to take the plunge. “Their happiness is mine, as well,” Gabs said. “Everything else is under the sun.”
KC is all grown up, but she will forever be Gabby’s “mini-me.”
I immensely enjoyed the party of Jestoni Alarcon’s fab wife, Liz, at HidN Lounge. The cool couple have been married for almost three decades, but the Alarcons still seem like honeymooners.

My BFF Cesar Montano gamely sang two songs during the wedding rites of his brother, Noel. I chided him that he can become a full-time wedding singer. Then, I teased him, “Are you going to be the next one to get hitched?” He shot back, chuckling, “When’s the next time? Next question, please.” Cue music: Ariana Grande’s “Thank You, Next.”
