Another actor may be saying goodbye to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that she is planning to retire her role as Pepper Potts — Tony Stark’s assistant/love interest — after “Avengers: Endgame” is released, as per her recent Variety interview.
“I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point,” she said.
“I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it,” she added, noting that she is friends with “Iron Man” director, Jon Favreau.
“It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to the fans,” Paltrow added.
If she will indeed retire the character, Paltrow will not be the only one exiting the Marvel movie franchise. In April 2018, Chris Evans told New York Times that he has no plans to return as Captain America after the next “Avengers” movie. He also tweeted an emotional goodbye to the franchise in October.
