Karel Marquez expecting a baby boy, reveals name

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Karel Marquez and husband Sean Fariñas are having a baby boy!
Marquez happily shared the news on Wednesday via an Instagram post captioned: “It’s a healthy, ‘100% BABY BOY!!!’”

“All along kala ko baby GIRL, but no no no! It’s my husband’s answered prayers and mine too because this baby boy is growing well inside mama’s womb!” Marquez wrote.
In a separate post, Marquez disclosed that she and Fariñas had already chosen a name for their son.

“See you soon, KOBE FEDERICO Santos Fariñas!” Marquez wrote. She also shared the reason behind choosing the name.
“My husband and I had a deal. Wala ako magagawa, idol n’ya si Kobe Bryant kahit ako hindi,” she said. “Federico, our son’s 2nd name, is my husband’s late father (Jr.) AND grandfather’s (Sr.) name.”
The baby will be Marquez’s first child with Fariñas. She has two other children, Keiley and Kyler, with former partner actor-model Arman de Guzman. /cbb
