Guess who’s who: Jako de Leon shows Ateneo grade school photos of celebs

Would you recognize your favorite celebrities if you saw them as kids?

Jako de Leon, vlogger and son of “Eat Bulaga!” host Joey de Leon, took to Twitter last Friday, Feb. 15 to share throwback photos that he had dug up from his yearbook.

“Guess these future Kapuso Celebrities,” he said, sharing the black-and-white portraits of schoolmates from his Ateneo de Manila days.

Clockwise from left, he revealed that the first was journalist Atom Araullo, and the next two were actors Dennis Trillo (identified as Dennis Ho) and Dingdong Dantes. Each are a year apart from one another, with Dantes being the eldest and Araullo the youngest.

Dantes, amused by the post, asked how old de Leon was at the time. The vlogger said he was still in prep and shared his own yearbook shot.

“3 Maniago ako ata diyan, haha! Ayus, nahukay sa baul (I think I was in 3 Maniago then, haha! Cool that this was dug up),” Dantes replied, guessing at his grade and section.

De Leon also shared photos of musicians in their younger years “before they were rock stars.”

These included Marc Abaya, vocalist of rock band Kjwan; Niño Avenido, bass guitarist of metal band Greyhoundz; and Kjwan bassist Kelley Mangahas.

As a joke, de Leon included a boy whose name is Chris Martin, in reference to the vocalist of British band Coldplay. The boy is not a celebrity.

Incidentally, Dantes and Trillo were co-stars on drama action series “Cain at Abel” which concluded last Friday.

Who knew these boys would be the faces of the current entertainment scene? JB
