Cristine Reyes is out for revenge.
The actress goes on a warpath in the upcoming Viva film “Maria,” which released its official trailer Friday.
In the film, Reyes plays Lily, a former cartel assassin who leaves her career behind to begin a new life. Now named Maria, that life is cut short when the cartel finds out about her whereabouts.
Based on the trailer, “Maria” shows Reyes’ potential in being a femme fatale, far from the usual sexy drama roles she usually portrays. Will she be able to win this war?
“Maria” is directed by Pedring Lopez and to be released under Viva Entertainment. Catch Reyes in the new action-packed film when it hits theaters March 27. /ra
