For Lenny Kravitz music, not love, comes first
While Lenny Kravitz would “really like” to find love, music comes first. “Being so dedicated to my art—which is not an excuse—it’s just difficult,” he said in a recent interview with People magazine.
Still, he thinks that when love does finally come, he’ll be ready.
“I’m at a place now where I have been through so many relationships, and I haven’t been good at it all the time at all,” said the the rock star, who has a 30-year-old daughter with his ex-wife, Lisa Bonet. “I have had a lot to learn. But I feel like I’m at a place where I’m ready for that. Things come to you when you’re ready, I believe.”
Lenny’s relationship with Lisa is that of a “brother and sister,” related the “It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over” singer, who has also expressed support for his ex-wife’s marriage with current husband, action star Jason Momoa.
“After Lisa and I separated, we learned to find [new relationships]. I met Jason when they got together, and I love him. He loves my kid and I love their kids, and we’re all one big family,” he said. “It’s beautiful.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
