Cristalle Belo and husband, Australian hotelier Justin Pitt, recently flew to Abu Dhabi to attend a Hindu wedding. Anybody familiar with Hindu weddings knows that the marriage ceremony does not just take place in one day, but spread out in multiple days, excluding the pre-wedding ceremonies that come with it.

Belo, daughter of celebrity cosmetics expert Dr.  Vicki Belo, shared some scenes from their trip with her fans via Instagram on Feb. 4 before the wedding. In her pictures, she showed photos of her and Pitt posing outside the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

The beautiful Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque- built to celebrate the diversity in the different Muslim civilizations,” she wrote.

Belo also shared she was not aware she had to cover all her hair and apologized in her post.

“Apologies, I didn’t know we had to cover all the hair,” she added. “I should’ve tucked it in the hood.”

The trip was definitely worth it, as Belo could not help but gush over its beauty. In another post, she shared clips and pictures inside the mosque, such as its floral mosaic walls and floors and its grand crystal chandelier.

“In awe of this mosque… from floors, to walls to ceilings. Just amazing! I’m so happy we took time to visit this!”

As the days progressed, Belo eventually shared some scenes from the Hindu wedding they attended. The theme of the first night of the wedding was Arabian Nights and saw Pitt sporting a keffiyeh — a checkered scarf usually worn around the neck or head.

“First night of the wedding was themed Arabian Nights so they had a booth that got all the men in theme by making them wear keffiyehs,” Belo shared.

She also did not miss in complimenting her dashing husband. “I think it fits @justinpitt77 so well. Now I know why he grew that beard. Those [steel] blue eyes just take my breath away.”

In her latest post today, Feb. 8, Belo shared a picture of her and Pitt from the wedding, wearing a red saree and an ivory sherwani respectively. In a clip, she can also be seen happily dancing on stage with a group.

“I think I was Indian in another lifetime!” she gushed. “Love the outfits, the music and the vibe. I miss dance practice already.”

It was definitely a trip to remember.  /ra
