MANILA, Philippines — Mariel Padilla could not help but gush over President Rodrigo Duterte as she watched her husband Robin Padilla’s film “Bato: The General Ronald dela Rosa Story” with the country’s highest official during its premiere night on Tuesday.
Padilla posted a video of her shaking hands with the President in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“It isn’t everyday you watch a movie with the President,” Rodriguez wrote in the caption.
She also described the event as the “MOST organized premiere night” she has ever attended.
“This is the MOST organized premiere night I have ever attended!!! Super successful premiere night of BATO (The Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa Story),” she wrote.
The actress-host also encouraged her followers to watch the film, saying “You will see how important Bato is to President Duterte and the impact of President Duterte in Bato’s life. How the President has molded Bato!!!”
“Bato: The General Ronald dela Rosa Story,” which was directed by Adolf Alix Jr. and produced by ALV Films and distributed by Regal Entertainment, opened in cinemas nationwide on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
Joining Padilla in the cast are Beauty Gonzales, Ricky Davao, Kiko Estrada, and Gina Alajar. /ee
