David Mazouz and pet Delilah
Teen actor David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne aka the young Batman in “Gotham,” actually likes animals, and has partnered with organizations that aim to rescue and care for them.
In the last few years, he’s been helping out Best Friends Animal Society by announcing its efforts to save animals with no homes.
“Today in America, 4,100 cats and dogs, just like [my pet] Starlit, are being killed in shelters daily,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself carrying his Havanese dog on Instagram last year. “Join me and @bestfriendsanimalsociety in making that number zero by 2025.”
According to the group’s Instagram page, it is a national animal welfare organization that runs “the largest no-kill sanctuary and programs to help end the killing in America’s shelters.”
More recently, Mazouz, who has a few adopted dogs, posted photos and videos of his visit to the org’s animal sanctuary in Utah.
“This place. This mission. Breathtaking and beautiful,” he gushed. “Horses, donkeys, goats, dogs, cats, pigs, parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs—all getting better lives. Thank you, Best Friends, for all you do.”
