‘The Artist’ wins best film at French Cesars

PARIS — French silent black-and-white hit movie “The Artist” by director Michel Hazanavicius on Friday won the best film award at the 37th annual Cesars ceremony in France.

The movie has already been a winner at the Golden Globes, the British BAFTAS and the Spanish Goyas, and has been nominated for 10 Oscars at the Academy Awards in Hollywood on Sunday.
