Being part of the Kapamilya hunk group ASAP Coverboys, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s boyfriend Clint Bondad was at some point already on his way to stardom — until he decided to let it go.
The Filipino-German model-actor revealed his reasons about leaving the group in an Instagram post Monday, Jan. 21.
To help him explain his departure from the group, Bondad showed a side-by-side photo of himself: on the left photo, he looked noticeably thin when he left the Coverboys. Three weeks later, he looked leaner and healthier.
“I looked like a shipwreck survivor,” he jokingly said.
Bondad also narrated that during his time with the Coverboys, he was busy with “the usual hustle of business ventures” in his startup company, as well as managing his modeling and acting career. Despite all, he expressed that he loved his stint with the group.
“We grow from struggle and we can get more AGGRESSIVE when faced by it!” he said. “Gets me excited!”
“But drive can be unchecked sometimes and my body was falling apart eventually even though my mind was just getting warm!” Bondad shared, adding that this made him choose his business over ASAP.
Aside from Bondad, other members of the group included Albie Casiño, Tommy Esguerra, Luis Hontiveros and Tanner Mata. JB
