Why *NSYNC reunion ‘trickier’ now

*NSYNC

With the success of the Backstreet Boys’ ongoing residency in Las Vegas, many 1990s kids who grew up listening to boy band pop, are now clamoring for *NSYNC to reunite and do the same.

Is there a possibility? “Never say never,” said member Joey Fatone.

However, an *NSYNC residency will prove to be trickier, because Justin Timberlake has a solo career to focus on.

“You know, that would take a lot of time, a lot of effort. I’m sure it would take a lot of money since Justin is always on tour… But you know what, you never know,” Joey said in an interview with Fox News.

Joey, who got together with Justin and the rest of *NSYNC—JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass—added: “It’s just one of those things where it’s sitting down and going, ‘Hey, do you want to do this or not?’ That’s what it boils down to.”

The group “reunited” when they received a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame in April last year.

Aside from the members’ respective career endeavors, some of them have children now. “You know, I have two kids. Justin has a kid. Chris has a kid,” he pointed out. JC has been writing and producing. Lance wants to have a kid. He has been doing stuff on the radio, as well. So everybody’s been doing his own thing.”

“It’s hard to focus and get everybody together,” he said. “But again, never say never.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
