MANILA, Philippines — Liza Soberano received criticisms last year about her not being Filipino enough for her character in Philippine mythology-based drama fantasy series “Bagani.”
“And who says we’re not pinoy? My Father is full Filipino. I was raised by two Filipinos since the age of 4. I looooove sinigang i think that/s as pinoy as pinoy can get,” she wrote in a tweet back in February 2018.

This tweet led netizens to create memes about loving sinigang as proof of becoming a real Filipino.
Nearly a year since, Soberano appeared to have embraced the association of sinigang with her as she took on a taste test challenge of the various kinds of this Filipino dish.
“I’m Liza Soberano and I love sinigang,” the young actress said in a video titled “Liza And Enrique Guess Different Kinds Of Sinigang” posted by Black Sheep productions on Thursday.
No one can deny that Liza Soberano's sinigang game is on point.

Soberano wore a blindfold as she was fed by her real and reel life sweetheart Enrique Gil with different kinds of sinigang.
The 21-year-old actress correctly guessed four out of five, leading Gil to say in jest: “Now you guys know how much Liza loves sinigang!”
The challenge was part of the promotion for LizQuen’s upcoming film “Alone/Together” that is set to open in cinemas on February 13.
Directed by Antoinette Jadaone, “Alone/Together” marks the love team’s return to the big screen after their blockbuster hit “My Ex and Whys” in 2017. /kga
