LOOK: James Yap, Michela Cazzola’s daughter Francesca gets baptized

PBA player James Yap and his longtime Italian partner Michela Cazzola welcomed their second child Francesca to the Christian world in an intimate ceremony held yesterday, Jan. 6.

Yap announced Francesca’s baptism in photos of him and two-year-old son MJ, via Instagram. Clad in a powder blue tuxedo, blue button-down shirt, white pants and black shoes, MJ was ready to attend the momentous rite for his sister.

“My Bugoy is ready for our Bugay’s Christening,” Yap wrote. “Welcome to the Christian world my one and only Princess. God bless you.”

Francesca was crying while being blessed by the priest, as per Cazzola’s Instagram post on the same day. His loving parents, meanwhile, were quick to soothe the sobbing baby. “I love you my adored princess,” Cazzola said.

Among Francesca’s godparents and guests were actor Raymart Santiago, politician and former basketball player Francis Zamora and wife Keri, film producer Dondon Monteverde, Gretchen Barretto and Cazzola’s friend, Mimi Que.

“Thank you very much to the godparents [of] our daughter,” Yap stated. “Because of your presence, you made the Baptismal day more meaningful and special. Thank you for being there today and for the gifts. We truly appreciate and love you.”

Cazzola gave birth to Francesca last June 27. JB
