Tirso Cruz III, Lynn Ynchausti emotional upon receiving late son’s things from officemates

MANILA, Philippines — Actor Tirso Cruz III and his wife Lynn Ynchausti became emotional after their late son Teejay’s officemates handed them some things he left on his desk before he passed away.

Cruz recounted how they saw one of Teejay’s officemates as they visited the hospital for a check-up: “By chance, we saw Sam, one of your officemates. And she told us that you still had a folder that was left in your drawer.”

“It was Michelle who handed your mama the folder along w/ a favorite sweater that you always wore. This made your mama cry,” he wrote in an Instagram post on Friday.

The actor shared a snapshot of a news clipping featuring him and his wife and said, “This newspaper clipping was what we found inside your folder, neatly folded. Your officemates even remembered how proudly you were showing them this write-up.”

Meanwhile, Ynchausti shared photos of other things Teejay left on his office desk which includes “his favorite jacket and a folder which has Spike For Hope papers, an invitation, Certificate of Appreciation, and a newspaper that he has kept all these years that had a picture of me and his Papa.”

“As I got hold of his jacket, I embraced it and smelled it, and this made me more emotional coz I really miss the smell of my son…I am so happy that this used jacket of TJ will do for now,” Ynchausti added.

Teejay, Cruz and Ynchausti’s firstborn, succumbed to cancer on November 21, 2018, at the age of 37.
