After 12 years, Josh Groban, who rose to fame as a young classical crossover artist in the early 2000s, will return to Manila for a post-Valentine’s Day show on Feb. 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The one night concert—mounted by Ovation Productions—is part of the American singer-songwriter’s ongoing world tour, “Bridges,” which kicked off in October, in support of his eighth studio album of the same title (call 470-2222).

Known for his light baritone, Josh is expected to sing his hit songs “To Where You Are” and “You Raise Me Up”; signature covers like “Bridge Over Troubled Water”; as well as new material from “Bridges”—his first album to feature original songs since “Echoes” in 2013.

While primarily known for performing and recording classical and pop songs for much of his music career, Josh recently branched out to theater, debuting on Broadway in 2016 with a lead role in “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
