Singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, one of the celebrities who lost their homes to the California wildfires last month, has vowed to have a house similar to the one he had rebuilt on the very same plot of land in Malibu.
But, it’s the memories he has created with his family that he wants to salvage.
“We have been here for the last four years, and have built so many memories, with the birth of our new daughter (9-month-old Mia, with current lover April Love Geary) and the maturing of my son (8-year-old Julian, with ex-wife Paula Patton),” he told Beats 1 radio station’s DJ Zane Lowe.
The singer added, “The plan is to rebuild and try to gain some of those memories back by going back to the place we love.”
Though devastated, Robin said, “The first thing I do every morning is to [express] gratitude for what I have, or what I still have.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
