MANILA, Philippines — As the rain poured on the day of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade of Stars, seven out of eight floats get stuck in the mud causing delay to the event.
“Fantastica,” the first in the sequence of floats, was the only one to proceed with the parade so far.
With the help of Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the floats were getting towed by trucks.
Floats of “The Girl In The Orange Dress'” and “One Great Love” had already been successfully recovered from getting stuck.
Meanwhile, “OTLUM,” “Aurora,” “Jack Em Popoy,” “Rainbow’s Sunset” and “Mary, Marry Me’s” floats had yet to be pulled from the mud.
Despite the delay, MMDA Chief of Staff Michael Salalima said the parade would still push through./lb
