MANILA, Philippines — Actress Jessy Mendiola has changed her mermaid tattoo by covering it up with a whale shark.
Mendiola shared a snapshot of her new tattoo placed on her right wrist in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“It’s more personal now,” Mendiola said. She also shared a video of her personal experience with a whale shark during one of her trips.
Mendiola’s tattoo was transformed by Wiji Lacsamana, the same artist who inked her mermaid tattoo.
“Transformed a mermaid into a whale shark! On the always beautiful @senorita_jessy today! Added on a lovely diver too!” Lacsamana wrote via Instagram on Wednesday.
Mendiola had herself inked with the mermaid tattoo in December 2017.
