MANILA, Philippines — Actress Julia Barretto couldn’t help but feel honored to have her name alongside people she looked up to at Eastwood City’s Walk of Fame.
“Never in my wildest dreams. I can’t believe I get my very own star at the #WalkOfFame,” Barretto wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
She added: “It is truly an honor to have my name alongside people I love & look up to.”
The 21-year-old actress also expressed thanks for being included in this year’s inductees, saying “Thank you so much German Moreno Foundation for recognizing my hard work.”
The star, she said, “will forever serve as an inspiration to keep the fire in my heart burning.”
“I’m so proud of you,” Janella Salvador commented on Barretto’s post to which the latter replied “I love you.”
Barretto’s co-star in her drama series “Ngayon at Kailanman” Ina Raymundo also left a comment saying “You deserve it baba.”
Other personalities who received their star at the Eastwood Walk of Fame held on Monday, Dec. 10, were Pia Wurtzbach, Vhong Navarro, Ken Chan, Derek Ramsay, Chito Roño, Rico Hizon, Dr. Jose Perez and Marichu Vera Perez-Maceda.
The Eastwood Walk of Fame is a project of the late Master Showman German Moreno launched in 2005.
The event is now hosted by German Moreno Foundation under Moreno’s son Federico Moreno. /cbb
