MANILA, Philippines — “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso” housemate Karina Bautista’s boyfriend, Christian Dronio, has said he still trusts his girlfriend even after she confessed her feelings for co-housemate Aljon Mendoza.

“Sa apat na taon naming pinagsamahan, napatunayan naman namin ‘yung pagmamahal namin sa isa’t isa,” Dronio said in a video uploaded on Sunday via PBB’s official Facebook page.
(In the four years of being together, we’ve proven our love to each other.)
Dronio added: “Malaki na rin ‘yung na-build up namin na trust sa isa’t isa and enough naman ‘yun para pagkatiwalaan ko siya sa mga ginagawa niya.”
(The trust we’ve built with each other is already enough for me to have faith in what she’s doing.)
Bautista, 16, has confessed to falling in love with now-evicted housemate Mendoza, 17, garnering the love team named “KarJon” from netizens.
“Ang masasabi ko lang sa naging confession ni Karina kay kuya specifically about kay Aljon is syempre kahit sino namang lalaki masasaktan and to be honest nasasaktan talaga ako hanggang ngayon,” Dronio said.
(What I can say about Karina’s confession to big brother specifically about Aljon is of course any guy would be hurt about that and to be honest, I feel really hurt until now.)
Since Bautista’s confession, many netizens have been airing their sentiments against the 16-year-old housemate.
Dronio urged these “bashers” to know Bautista first before judging her: “Ang mensahe ko lang sa mga bashers ni Karina, sana bago niyo siya husgahan kilalanin niyo muna siya kasi hindi deserve ni Karina lahat ng yun.”
