MANILA, Philippines — Marian Rivera was named as Best Actress by the Kapisanan ng mga Kamag-anak at Migranteng Manggagawang Pilipino, Inc. (KAKAMMPI) in its 8th Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Gawad Parangal.
The Kapuso Primetime Queen on Sunday thanked the award-giving body for the recognition in her episode for drama anthology series “Tadhana” titled “Milya-milyang Agwat ng Mag-ina” directed by her husband Dingdong Dantes.
“Special sa akin ang episode na ito dahil muli kami nagkasama sa trabaho ng asawa ko bilang aking director,” Rivera said.
The actress then thanked Dantes for his support: “Salamat sa yo Mahal ko, sa suporta pag-aalaga at pag guide mo sa akin para maibigay ko ang tamang pagganap.”
GMA’s drama anthology series “Tadhana” hosted by Rivera also won and was named as OFW’s Choice Awardee for the Best OFW Stories Program.
Meanwhile, Rivera received Dantes’ award as Best Documentary Host for GMA’s informative show “Amazing Earth.”
The 8th OFW Gawad Parangal was held on Sunday, Dec. 9, in Pasay City. It honors individuals who share their time, skills and resources to advance the welfare of OFWs. /cbb
