MANILA, Philippines — Actor and Cavite Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla could not help but share his joy following the acquittal of his father former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.
Jolo on Friday expressed excitement to finally go home with his father who has been detained in Camp Crame since 2014: “Uuwi na kami ni Papa!”
“Kumpleto na ulit ang pamilya namin sa aming bahay,” he added.
Jolo also gave special mention to those who have prayed for his father’s acquittal, saying: “Maraming maraming salamat sa lahat ng nagdasal para sa kanyang paglaya.”
The Vice Governor added, “The truth will always prevail! #TuloyAngLaban #BongRevilla2019.”
Earlier Friday, the Sandiganbayan acquitted the former senator, who was accused of amassing P224.5 million from his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or “pork barrel” through non-government organizations linked to Janet Lim-Napoles, the so-called pork barrel queen. /kga
