AC Bonifacio will soon be celebrating her 16th birthday on Dec. 13 and she wants to do it old-school style.
Dec. 14 will be the big day Bonifacio will stand on the stage of the SM Skydome to put on a show that she believes is not seen on TV much these days, as reported by Push.
“So I just want to show that side kasi I feel like right now, sobrang millennial po lahat mga rap and taki taki, level up. And I think it’s being seen naman na po on ASAP and It’s Showtime a lot. So I want to bring it back to the old school,” said Bonifacio at a press event.
She added, “Because I grew up in hip-hop… So I grew up with Biggie, I grew up with Aaliyah, with Tonya, with all of them, and R. Kelly, and Usher and Ne-Yo.”
Despite having made guest appearances internationally, and being praised by “High School Musical” director Kenny Ortega, Bonifacio said she wants to stick around her home country.
“I feel like if I did have an opportunity din naman po there, I wouldn’t give up here. Kasi po I’m still a Filipino po, I’m full Filipino. I love my culture and I grew being a Filipino. Maybe I’ll go there in one or two months, and whatever happens po, I’m always going to come back here,” explained the dancer.
As for her acting career, Bonifacio felt that she was still too young to be in a love team. She would rather have a dance partner instead. Alfred Bayle /ra
