K-pop phenomenon BTS and “Mr. Sunshine” star Lee Byung-hun won big at the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) 2018 held in Incheon, South Korea on Wednesday.
BTS and Lee received the Daesang (grand prize) for the music and acting categories, respectively.
BTS also bagged the Popularity Award, Korean Tourism Appreciation Award, Fabulous Award and Artist of the Year Award in the music category.
The seven-member boy group’s performance director Son Sung-deuk was named as Best Performance Director while their producer Pdogg was named Best Producer.

Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun was awarded with the Korean Tourism Appreciation Award, Fabulous Award and Artist of the Year Award under the acting category.
AAA’s stage was graced with performances from Korean acts like Wanna One, GOT7, iKON, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, NU’EST W, Sunmi, MONSTA X, among others.
The awarding ceremony, presented by South Korea-based business newspaper Money Today and its global media brands StarNews and MTN, honors achievements and international contributions of Asian artists in television, movies and music.
Held at the Namdong Gymnasium for the third consecutive year, the awards night was hosted by actress-model Lee Sung-kyung and Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk. /jpv
