For the first time in 32 years, the University of the Philippines will play in the UAAP Finals versus defending champion Ateneo de Manila University.
The UP Fighting Maroon’s historic win on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball tournament stirred a lot of reactions from celebrities who graduated from the universities.
Personalities who graduated from UP expressed happiness for their alma mater’s win with TV host and anchor Gretchen Fullido sharing a reaction video at the set of “TV Patrol.”

Meanwhile, Atom Araullo, another UP graduate, wore a maroon tie to show how proud he was of the UP Fighting Maroons.
