“Widows”
The intense heist movie “Widows,” starring Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Rodriguez, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, Jon Bernthal, Jacki Weaver and Liam Neeson, will have sneak previews nationwide on Nov. 26 and 27. The film puts women at the core of a gripping crime caper set in a ruthless environment.
“Widows” brings together female leads playing bereaved women when a police shootout leaves their husbands dead during an explosive armed robbery attempt in Chicago. Their widows have nothing in common, except a debt they left behind from criminal activities. Hoping to forge a future on their own terms, they join forces to pull off a heist.
Its official theatrical run begins on Dec. 5.
