Viewers can expect to be back to the Circle of Life next year.
Disney released the first look of the much-awaited live-action reimagining of Disney’s “The Lion King” on Friday.
In the teaser, the shaman Rafiki looks at the young prince and soon to be king, Simba. The baboon then raises the cub over Pride Rock, with his subjects bowing down to him.
Aside from the teaser, the official poster, which had a photo of the young Simba, was released.

“The Lion King” remake will feature voices of Donald Glover, Beyoncé, Seth Rogen and John Oliver, among others. James Earl Jones returns as Mufasa, Simba’s father. He first voiced the character in the 1994 version.
The live-action movie is directed by Jon Favreau, and is slated for release in the US on July 19, 2019. /ra
