Millie Bobby Brown is UNICEF’s youngest goodwill ambassador

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has chosen “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown as its newest goodwill ambassador.

Brown announced the news on World Children’s Day, Nov. 20, in an Instagram video captioned: “A dream come true!”

“It’s a huge honour to become @UNICEF’s newest and youngest ever Goodwill Ambassador to help defend children’s rights across the world. I can’t wait to get started!” she added.

At 14 years old, the Emmy-nominated actress is UNICEF’s youngest official advocate.

The English actress aims to use her platform to “raise issues about education, violence and ending bullying,” she said in a separate Instagram clip posted Wednesday.

“It means so much to me, not only because I’m a child myself, but because I’ve always had a love for helping others,” Brown added.

Brown joins other internationally famous UNICEF goodwill ambassadors David Beckham, Orlando Bloom, Jackie Chan, Liam Neeson, Shakira, among others.

Brown, who plays Eleven in the Netflix thriller “Stranger Things,” has been nominated twice by Emmy.

She’s also the youngest person to be included in 2018 TIME 100, or the Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in 2018.  /muf
