Bodie Cruz paid tribute to his late brother Teejay who passed away Wednesday at the age of 37 after battling cancer.
“The battle with cancer for the past 6 months was tough, but it was also a time we got to experience God’s love and faithfulness in abundance as a family,” Bodie wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
Bodie expressed gratefulness to the Lord that his brother’s life was filled with “passion, boldness and love.”
The former actor also recounted how Teejay “desired nothing but to serve God and to glorify Him through dancing.”
Now, Bodie said Teejay would be able “to do it free from sickness and pain, and in front of our Creator Himself — and you get to worship Him there forever. I love you Kuya.”
Bodie, then, thanked everyone who stood with them in prayer and said, “Today, Kuya TJ has received the miracle of healing that we have believed God for. He is faithful.”
Bodie, a former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate, played roles in television drama series “Eva Fonda” (2008), “Zorro” (2009) and romantic comedy film “Bride for Rent” (2014).
Bodie and Teejay are sons of actor Tirso Cruz III and Lyn Ynchausti. /cbb
