Since Boracay is once again open to the public, Rufa Mae Quinto thought to take a trip there and explore the island herself.
After the famed island and tourist spot reopened in October, the comedienne-turned vlogger took the opportunity to feature Boracay in her latest vlog entry, posted on her Youtube channel Sunday, Nov. 18.
Quinto, with daughter Athena, arrived in Boracay along with other tourists. The first thing they did was to go night swimming.
On the next day of their trip, Quinto revealed that there were some familiar faces on the island, such as Coleen Garcia who was with her mom Paz, and veteran actor Rez Cortez.
Throughout the day, she saw some establishments closed due to the continuing rehabilitation of the island. She also dropped by Boracay’s famous grotto, where some tourists had their photos taken.
While taking a walk, she joked that “Boracay is not boraot anymore — it is a laot.” She congratulated the island for being “reborn” and expressed gratitude for being there to see the changes.
As a way of encouraging her viewers to visit the island, she said, “The Boracay is really born again!” JB
