What’s with the sudden change of plot?

This was the question raised by former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa over the now controversial hit TV series “Ang Probinsyano”

Dela Rosa, who served the PNP for nearly two years, on Monday noted the plot of the primetime drama-action show was not the same during his term.

“Nagtataka ako sa ‘Probinsyano’, bakit noong panahon na ako ang chief PNP, ang gaganda naman ng portrayal nila sa buhay ng pulis? Sinusundan nila ‘yung ating mga accomplishment sa war on drugs, ‘yung mga pangyayari,” Bato said in an interview with PTV.

“Bakit ngayon ginawa na nilang sindikato ‘yung chief PNP? Ang sikat ngayon sa palabas nila, ‘yung mga [New People’s Army],” he added.

After his mandatory retirement from the police force, Dela Rosa was appointed as chief of the Bureau of Corrections. But he was deemed automatically resigned from the government post upon the filing of his certificate of candidacy for senator in the May 2019 elections.  /kga
