Winford Manila Resorts and Casino guests are in for a treat tonight at 8 as Original Pilipino Music (OPM) hit singer and songwriter Rey Valera graces the Hippodrome stage on the 2F gaming area.

A legend in the OPM world, Valera has penned immortal classics such as ‘Mr. DJ’—the first in a long line of hits with Megastar Sharon Cuneta, ‘Pangako Sa’Yo,’ ‘Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako,’ ‘Maging Sino Ka Man,’ and more.

His preference and talent for writing songs in the local language earned him the title, “King of Tagalog Songs.”

Until recently, he was a judge in the popular noontime show singing competition “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” introducing him to a new generation of music lovers, some of whom unknowingly grew up listening to his many songs that were the theme songs of popular movies and TV shows.
