Multi-media celebrity Kris Aquino said Thursday that the legal battle between her and a former business partner “could have been fixed,” as her camp “attempted” to settle the row “six times.”
But, she also said: “I’m sorry but it came to this, I had to see papers that I should not have seen.”
Ms. Aquino arrived at the Mandaluyong City Prosecutor’s Office with her youngest son, Bimby, to personally reaffirm her oath to the qualified theft charges she filed against Nicardo “Nicko” Falcis II, who was also her former project manager.

An “amicable settlement” might still be possible, she said, however: “Kung patuloy naman na tinatanggihan ka eh ikaw na ‘yung na-agrabyado, meron nang mali doon.”
“I’m saying it directly to you Nicko, we shared something special. You helped me rise up when I was down. May utang na loob ako. Kaya natin ‘to ayusin, sana naayos ‘to kung tayong dalawa lang,” she added.
Aquino further said she can forgive Falcis if he would just show up and express willingness to “meet me halfway.”
“Sinabi mo na kumuha ako ng powerful lawyers, powerful friends, bakit? And ‘yun ang masakit tinuring ka naming pamilya,” she said.
“Kaya kitang patawarin pero magpakita ka naman sakin na you’re at least trying to meet me halfway, because I’ve done more than my share,” she also said.
