Anne Curtis in “BuyBust”

Last week, Netflix Philippines started streaming the historical biopic, “Heneral Luna.” Other critically acclaimed and blockbuster Pinoy films are scheduled to be streamed in the coming months.

“BuyBust,” scheduled for Nov. 15, revolves around an antidrug squad finds itself trapped in a Manila slum. Anne Curtis delivers an outstanding performance as a beleaguered officer.

“Kita Kita,” debuting on Nov. 16, is set in Japan—a rom-com that has captivated international critics and audiences alike.

In the film, tour guide Lea suffers from heartbreak and becomes blind, but later meets the wickedly charming Tonyo. It stars  Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez.

Coming soon to Netflix are “My Ex & Whys,” “It Takes a Man and a Woman” and “That Thing Called Tadhana.”
