Cesar Montano explains viral video greeting with ‘naked’ woman

My best friend Cesar Montano seems like a “controversy magnet.” But for those who really know Buboy (his nickname), he would rather keep a low profile.
There are some pictures/videos that are better left unposted on social media. Unfortunately, there are just some people who are too eager to share news about something that’s supposed to be a private affair. Even if we are like family, I respect Buboy’s right to privacy.
That’s not exactly secrecy. There are just some moments in a celeb’s life that are best relished away from the paparazzi. Sometimes, a healthy sign of any relationship is no sign of it on social media.
It’s not my style to aggravate matters by sensationalizing the issue all the more. Suffice it to say that, Buboy is in a good place where no amount of intrigues can harm him.
Regarding the viral video of Buboy’s birthday greeting wherein a naked woman (or, was she clothed?) behind him was caught on-cam, what’s the fuss all about? It’s a funny boo-boo alright, but it’s no sex scandal video, après tout. Perhaps if it were a naked man in the background, the uproar would be understandable. Besides, Buboy is single again, since his marriage to Sunshine Cruz has been annulled. So he’s free to be with the woman who has redefined happiness for him.
Buboy sent me his reaction about the viral video via SMS. He said: “Bff, you won’t believe that I get thousands of requests for video birthday greetings. But the thing is, I can’t grant their requests to focus on the background instead of me. And a hundred other requests are for my voice-over greeting only so the video will zoom in on the background (laughs). My favorite spoof is by Buknoy. It totally cracked me up. I’ll send it to you through Viber.”
That’s one thing I admire about BFF Buboy. He never fails to find humor in any situation.
It’s quite appalling how bashers pass judgment without knowing the story behind the issue. But bashers come with the territory, so Buboy will just let them be. Bring it on till the next controversy comes along.
Cesar is no saint, but I can vouch that he doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.
