Taron Egerton teases fans with ‘cute boy’

Kingsman” star Taron Egerton could be gay, fans speculate. Or he could just be teasing, as he’s playing Elton John in the 2019 biopic, “Rocketman.”
Recently, the Welsh actor started posting on his Instagram account. A photo of a bespectacled young man, with the caption, “Cutie. My boy,” sent fans into a tizzy.
“[Is he] Taron’s [boyfriend]? My wig has flown to the moon,” reacted one follower.
Asked another commenter, “Wait, is Taron bi?”
Yet another fan suggested, “Tag [your] boi,” to identify the mystery guy.
That’s when the actor responded: “Nah, he’s mine and mine only.”
Egerton has been dating Emily Thomas for years, according to reports. So it could just be to help promote his portrayal as the flamboyant singer in “Rocketman.”
Some gay fans have turned parts of his video interviews with “Eddie the Eagle” costar Hugh Jackman—those where Egerton is attentively looking at the Aussie actor—into gif files.
“Rocketman” is directed by “Eddie the Eagle’s” Dexter Fletcher, who is Bryan Singer’s replacement on “Bohemian Rhapsody.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
