Ogie’s advice to combative ex-couples

Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid can very well afford to sit on their laurels. But they continue to soar as they maximize their God-given talents. Even if Reg and Ogs were not famous, they would still be lovable just by being themselves.

Since Ogs is a close friend of mine, I’ve seen him and Reg in their unguarded moments. That’s why I can vouch for the fact that both of them are genuinely kind, even when there are no cameras around.

The OPM icons are now both with the Kapamilya network. No matter what channel Reg and Ogs are in, they will always have a captive audience. At this point of their careers, it’s no longer about the money. It’s more about “paying it forward.” If only we could have Reg and Ogs cloned, show biz would be a less cruel world. Hooray for the “Ace As” (Alcasids)!

What was the deciding factor for Regine to transfer to ABS-CBN? Reg would be the best person to answer that. My suggestion to her was to really pray for God’s wisdom.

What’s your unsolicited advice to combative celebrity ex-couples? Oh, my. Not sure if I’m in a position to advise. In our situation, we just feel that life is too short to carry lots of hurt and unforgiveness. We are a family. We love and care about each other dearly.

If you would suggest a show for you and Reg, what will the format be? The sitcom will soon be revealed, but I am not at liberty to expose the storyline just yet. What was explained to me, though, is a story that is so exciting—and it will have a dream cast.

When Nate grows up, what advice will you give him about women? Nate needs to be a perfect gentleman. Treat ladies with respect and be chivalrous.

PH concert series for MLTR

Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR), the popular pop-rock band from Denmark behind such hits as “25 Minutes” and “Paint My Love,” is coming back to the Philippines for a series of shows, mounted by Ovation Productions.
