Worldwide K-pop sensation BTS leader RM (Kim Nam-joon) surprised fans on Saturday after announcing the release of his new solo mixtape.
The news was announced by BigHit Entertainment, BTS’ label, via Twitter, adding that the mixtape is set to drop on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Entitled “Mono,” the mixtape will feature seven new songs, including a collaboration with English electronic music duo HONNE, Korean artist eAeon, and Korean indie rock band Nell.
“Mono” follows the rapper and songwriter’s first self-entitled mixtape, “RM,” in 2015 with 17 self-produced tracks.
RM has previously collaborated with Western artists like Warren G with their single “P.D.D (Please Don’t Die),” Mandy Ventrice with film ‘Fantastic Four’s’ soundtrack entitled “Fantastic,” American rapper Wale with socially charged track “Change” and Fall Out Boy’s remix of “Champion.”
His group BTS just concluded their ‘Love Yourself’ shows in Paris, France. The next leg of their tour will be in Japan this November. /je
