Kris Aquino explains why she can’t be a ‘Kapuso’

Kris Aquino explained that while she would love to work with television show hosts Jessica Soho and Willie Revillame, there are certain limitations inhibiting her from being an official Kapuso.
With Regine Velasquez’s recent transfer to ABS-CBN from GMA-7, many are wondering who will next switch networks. Fans of Kris Aquino have taken to the comments section of her Instagram posts to ask her to sign a contract with GMA-7.
Tagging GMA Films executive Annette Gozon-Valdes, one fan, @lenimagsipol, commented, “Kris Aquino in GMA-7 please, make it happen!”

Aquino, seeing her fan’s request, explained that while she loves the prospect of working in the network, there are reasons why she cannot.
“This is very heartwarming to read. I’d love to,” she replied. “I’ve always been vocal that I’d love to work with @km_jessica_soho and/or kuya Josh’s favorite Willie Revillame.”
“But I have limitations regarding my work hours, locations, and the number of work days I am allowed per week,” she said, explaining her decision. “Nakakahiya sa (it is embarrassing to) @gmanetwork and the family of @annettegozonvaldes if they don’t get their money’s worth. Thank you for the uplifting wish.”
Aquino’s hosting skills attracted attention in 1995 when she co-hosted GMA-7’s showbiz-oriented talk show “Startalk” alongside Boy Abunda and Lolit Solis. She bid goodbye to the show and GMA-7 a year after “Startalk” premiered. JB
