Nadine Samonte is doing everything she can to ensure she is having a safe and stress-free pregnancy.
“Here we go again,” the Kapuso actress said in an Instagram post Thursday, Oct. 4. Samonte shared a snap of her arm with a ball of cotton taped on it.
She told her followers how her first pregnancy was “really a roller coaster ride” as she had antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APAS) and policystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Because of these, it made her undergo tests again to check if she still has them.
While she hopes she will be free from such ailments, she is still thankful since her pregnancy this time is “unexpected.”
“[I’m praying that our baby will be okay, healthy and safe,” she said.
Samonte also had advice to other women who have a hard time getting pregnant: “[L]agi ko nga pong sinasabi don’t lose hope.” (I always say don’t lose hope.)
“I know how hard it is to have a baby [I’ve] been there, [I] really got depressed but that didn’t stop me to look forward to have an amazing child,” she said. “If you want something, pray harder, that’s what we did.”
The Starstruck season one contestant announced her pregnancy by surprising her husband, Richard Chua. Samonte and Chua’s baby will follow their firstborn Heather Sloane, born in 2016. JB
